The records relate to school administration, 1899-1935, and agency administration before 1915. The correspondence is mainly between the Santa Fe Indian School superintendent and the Commissioner of Indian Affairs. There is also a small amount of correspondence with other jurisdictions, Federal and State officials, prospective employees, individual Indians, parents of Indian students, companies and private persons. In addition to the correspondence there are copies of annual narrative reports, lists of names of students in various schools, lists of positions and wages for school employees, contracts, abstracts of individual Indian money accounts, leases of Indian lands, and other records of a financial nature.
